Congratulations cellist Tameila Ramsay! Tameila has attended Axis Music since we started programming in January 2011 when she was in grade 5. During the past seven years Tameila has demonstrated impressive musicality, dedication and leadership. She just graduated high school and will commence a Bachelor of Arts in Youth and Children’s Studies at Wilfrid Laurier University this fall.

“What I like about playing my cello is that it looks really easy to play but it really isn’t; it takes passion to understand the music,” says Tameila. “Cellos make a nice and low beautiful sound that gives me chills during certain songs. That’s what makes me really love the cello.”
